What is InterActions?
InterActions is a program that is focused on creating and empowering leaders in faith-based and peace-based communities

InterActions is a two-year program of study for students interested in becoming empowered leaders in their businesses and/or religious communities, advisors in conflict resolution, and
    change agents for Peace

InterActions' students will be recruited from communities of faith, non-profits and businesses committed to creating positive social change.

Bat Kol is an educational non-profit organization dedicated to creating new learning opportunities for tomorrow's lay leaders. Begun as a study program for women in Israel, Bat Kol has expanded its mission to reach out to diverse communities of faith in the United States, training their students to become empowered leaders with the tools to create positive social change. We do this through "InterActions," a two-year integrated studies program in which students earn a Certificate of Leadership in Peace Studies and Coalition Building endorsed by Bat Kol and other academic and religious institutions. The certificate endorses each InterActions graduate to return to her/his own community as a recognized resource for interfaith and cross-cultural coalition building, as well as a mediator of conflict resolution within his/her own community.

The InterActions curriculum is based on an interdisciplinary educational philosophy and combines academics with creative workshops, inner and inter-personal exploration, and volunteer community projects. Students work together both inside and outside the classroom in order to assist each other with the community projects they develop while in the program. Participants also receive one-on-one supervision with faculty and staff in order to progress in their own personal, spiritual, academic, and leadership goals.

The Purpose of InterActions
The InterActions Certificate program is designed to address issues related to building and maintaining healthy community, methods of conflict resolution, paths to peace and reconciliation. The program emphasizes a broad range of disciplines to study these topics including scriptural sources, political philosophy, history, environmental education, sociology and anthropology, gender studies, feminist theory, psychology and medicine.

Once students complete the InterActions program, they become part of a new community of leaders committed to expanding the reach of interfaith, multicultural communities across the nation.
